| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.co.uk Review In retrospect, it’s amazing that Prison Break got this far. The original concept of the show surely demanded just a single season, but such was the success that it enjoyed, that further runs followed. It’s to the credit of the show’s creators that it managed to make this work, too, right down to the agreeable fourth and final season. Thus, this final season of Prison Break sees Wentworth Miller’s Michael Scofield attempting to hunt down The Company, the organisation that’s been behind the various events that have befallen him over the course of the show’s run. As you’d expect, this quest is laden with some dramatic twists and turns, in keeping with the spirit of the show, and it’s also got some major surprises up its sleeve. Determined to bring things to a proper close, this final season of Prison Break does indeed bring things to an appropriate conclusion. It’s a fairly bumpy ride in comparison to the more confident earlier seasons, and it’s clear throughout that this is a show coming to the end of its lifespan. Yet it’s still very slick, and very enjoyable television drama. It’s also willing to take a few chances, which is certainly appreciated. With 24 episodes in all, this final season of Prison Break is a fine denouement for one of the most exciting TV shows of recent times. It might not be vintage quality by the standards that the programme has set itself, but it’s still proven to be a far tastier dish than many of the pretenders to its throne. And it will be missed. --Jon Foster

Faithful endning August 23, 2010 Claus Henriksen (Copenhagen, Denmark) In line with the three previous seasons, the final season of "Prison Break" offers enough twists, turns and excitement to match up. The story is rolled into itself numerous times, and it never ceases to catch us off guard. And frankly, what more are you looking for in a good show?
promising up to episode 16, then very disappointing August 12, 2010 doybey-trainer The Season Four of "Prison Break" maintained the usual excellent standard seen in the three previous sesons, up to , and including, episode 16. Believable characters, believable (just) storylines, excellent direction.
From season 4 episode 17 onwards, it is apparent that the original team of writers left, possibly due to the Hollywood writers' strike, and new "writers" took over.
Maybe the producers started doing the writing themselves, because it certainly wasn't done by real tv writers. A major new character appeared who was
completely unbelievable, and the events that followed were not believable either.
My advice to potential buyers is "buy season 4 and watch it up to and including episode 16, then don't watch any more, and just leave it as unresolved".
farewell July 20, 2010 sean paul mccann (ireland) och, now that prison break is over for me, i feel sad. I was a late comer to the show but it kept me entertained for months and now its over, its all over.
When i look back on the series as a whole it was simply brilliant, far fetched of course and maybe nothing will ever beat series 1 but it has been an experience of brilliance over anything else.
Onto series 4 though, this wasnt the greatest series of them all and at times you could be forgiven for ignoring what was happening as it wasnt nailed on riveting and while some storyarcs failed, others were as good as anything that came before.
Going through everything about this series would take time and maybe spoil it for others so i wont do it but this is a fitting end to a show that deserved all the praise it got and i will certainly miss it.
prision break season 4 July 16, 2010 sharon excellant finalle to a very lengthy but exciting series well worth buying if you didnt get to see as went to sky
