I read a lot of reviews for this and bought it based on those reviews. It was very watchable but depressing to be honest and not really gripping. I could easily stop watching this in the evening, not like some of the other boxsets where you just have to know what happens next.
This was sort of okay. If they had more series of this I am not sure I would have purchased them.

Afterlife is a warts and all look at the day-to-day difficulties faced by a reluctant psychic. It brings the human face to life as a medium. It is well acted and executed - well worth acquiring!

Outstanding TV Series about a woman constantly bombarded with people who have yet to pass over who need her help to do so - all the while she has problems of her own going back to when she was a young girl. She is helped by a university lecturer who has problems of his own - he initially thought she was mad - and he is able to help her connect with people that she would not have been able to as they viewed her as crazy. What a shame there were only 2 series made.

This is one of my favourite series that has ever been shown on TV, the two leading stars work/blend so well together, they are totally believable and convincing. What an emotional rollercoaster Afterlife is, I found it to be such a touching programme with extremely well thought out ideas.
I'd like to also add that I found this to be an absolute fantastic bargain considering you get both complete series, I was very happy indeed with my purchase, having watched Afterlife twice already, I still wanted to purchase it as it is definitely something I would watch again and again over time. I totally recommend this series to anyone with an interest in the paranormal, this to me without a shadow of a doubt, is the most convincing by far and that is thanks to having such a fantastic cast (particularly Lesley Sharp) and brilliant storyline throughout, DOUBLE thumbs up from me :oD
